EDWARD J. SYLVIA

   SYLVIA, Edward J., 82, of Edgewood, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 29, 2015 at R.I. Hospital. He was the husband of Paula M. (Susi) Sylvia.
   Born in Providence and a son of the late Joseph E. and Marion (Coakley) Sylvia.  Mr. Sylvia worked as a Communications Technician for AT & T for nearly 30 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the Army.
   He is survived by his children Paul E. and his wife Patricia,  David J., John E., Joseph M. and his wife Karen, Paula J. Ireland, Mary Beth Fraser and her husband Kevin, Ann T. and Lisa M. Sylvia.  He was the brother of Mary C. and her husband Dr. John E. Farley, grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 5 and uncle to several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Paul Church of Edgewood, 1 St. Paul Pl., Cranston, at 10:00 AM.
   Calling Hours Monday 4:00-8:00 PM., In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Paul Church, 30 Warwick Ave., Cranston, RI 02905 or the McAuley House, 622 Elmwood Ave., Providence, RI 02907.
