MARJORIE (Burgess) HOUSTON

Marjorie Houston (Burgess), 95, of Cranston, passed away October 2, 2016 at home. She was the wife of the late Neil J. Houston and daughter of the late Louis A. and Mary (Mullen) Burgess. Mrs. Houston was born in Boston, MA., but spent most of her life in Cranston. She was employed by Brown University for 50 years.
She is survived by a son, Jonathon J. Houston of East Greenwich and four daughters, Roberta H. Anderson of East Greenwich, Marjorie A. Houston of Westport, MA., Hope J. Houston of Providence and Ave M. Houston of Cranston. She was mother of the late Neil J. Houston Jr. and Timothy L. Houston. She leaves 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was sister of the late Louis A. Burgess Jr., Robert J. Burgess and John A. Burgess. 
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Church, 1 St. Paul Pl., Cranston. 
Visitation will be respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Neil J. Houston Jr. Memorial Scholarship at LaSalle Academy, 612 Academy Ave., Providence, RI 02908. Arrangements by Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home.
