Paul Bedrosian Obituary

Paul Nshan Bedrosian of Pawtuxet Village passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted father to his son, Olafur (Óli) V. Bedrosian and a dedicated partner to Brittany Aromin. Paul also leaves behind his mother, Gudrun (Gunna) Bedrosian, his sisters Anika and Hanna Bedrosian and his aunt, Hon. Haiganush R. Bedrosian of Cranston. He was the beloved son of the late Michael T. Bedrosian.

Paul’s proudest accomplishment was his son, Óli, whom he loved and adored more than anything else. Nothing made Paul happier than time spent with his son, marveling and cherishing both Óli’s major milestones along with the everyday, simple moments that came with being a dad. Paul’s spirit will live on through Óli, whose family will constantly remind him of his father’s enduring love for him.

A graduate of Cranston High School East and the University of Vermont, Paul leaves behind a tremendous legacy of character, warmth, and community. He had deep roots in his Armenian heritage, remaining an active member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church. He also embraced his Icelandic heritage from his mother’s side, maintaining close relationships with his extended family in Iceland.

Paul was widely known as Pauly Danger, an award-winning and celebrated reggae DJ (#teamUPSETTA). Through music, he touched countless lives and became an integral part of the Providence music and nightlife scene, which he helped nurture for more than 15 years. Besides DJing, Paul had a passion for cars, especially those made before 1996. He loved working on them and hosting vintage Volvo car shows. He was also a skilled billiards player, competing in local pool leagues, never missing an opportunity to link-and-clink with friends.

These passions all shared a common theme: people. Paul was a people person. He was sincere and enjoyed conversation. He loved to make people smile. He was dependable and generous with his time and resources. Family and friends often cited Paul as the “Mayor of Providence” who knew and embraced everyone in his presence. He lived to make the world the way he wanted it to be: welcoming, peaceful, and loving.
