William R. Waite

William R. Waite, 87, died July 4, 2023 at the Home and Hospice Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Pauline (Jourdain) Waite. Born in Providence, a son of the late Frank and Kathleen (McDonough) Waite. 

Billy worked in the underground department for Narragansett Electric for 46 years retiring in 2002. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Marine Corp. He was the owner of the former Car Barn Tap for many years and well known for his famous chicken pot pie.

Besides his wife he leaves a son Robert Waite and daughters Cynthia Rose, Judith Traficante and Lori Waite, also grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 4. He was father of the late William Waite and brother of the late Francis and Robert Waite. 

Funeral Saturday at 10:00 AM from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew Church, 1299 Elmwood Ave., Cranston at 11:00 AM Burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI

Visitation will be held Saturday morning between 8:30-10:30 A.M. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38102
