Steven Mello Obituary
Steve was a lifelong resident of Edgewood. He graduated from Cranston High School East, Class of 1980. He was highly involved in student council and excelled in baseball and football. He spent most of his career in the food industry, before getting his degree in the social services field. Steve loved living in Edgewood and started every day reading the paper down at the bay. He had a wonderful group of friends and everyone knew Mel. As happy as he was being with friends and family, nothing brought him more joy than being with his children, Gabrielle and Joshua. Besides his children, his sister, Beverly, and her husband, Nick, and his brother Jeffrey and his husband, Paul, he leaves behind six nieces and nephews, and his cousin Kenneth C. Vale.
He was the son of the late Charles and Iris (Morton) Mello and brother to the late Gregory Mello. His service will be private with a celebration of life to be held in the future.
