Ronald F. Lanowy

Ronald F. Lanowy, 79, of Cranston, passed away on August 14, 2025 after a long illness.  He was born on March 3rd, 1946, in Woonsocket to John and Helen (Rymansky) Lanowy. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Kathleen M. Lanowy.

Ron was a Veteran of the Air Force during the Vietnam War and then worked at Otis Elevator for 35 years before retiring many years ago.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing with his late friend Albert and all things horse racing with his close friend David.  He also enjoyed the company of his dog Molly who now brings her joy to his grandchildren.

Ron leaves behind his two sons, Michael R. Lanowy (Tammy) and Christopher J. Lanowy (Nina); two grandchildren, Natalia and Ronin Lanowy; his sister Gloria Turcotte and his beloved dog Molly.

Visitation will be held at the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home 1895 Broad Street in Cranston on Wednesday August 20th from 4-7 pm.  Burial will be private.  Collation information will be posted at the time of visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
