Patricia H Sullivan, born May 25, 1935, in Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on February 5th at Kent Hospital.
Patricia was the beloved daughter of William Rickard and Helen Murphy, and the sister of James Rickard, who preceded her in death.
In 1955, Patricia married the love of her life, Charles Sullivan, who also preceded her in death. Together, they raised their family in Warwick, Rhode Island. They cherished summers at their home in Bonnet Shores, a place Patricia adored so deeply that she chose to spend her later years there full time.
Following in her mother’s footsteps, Patricia had a lifelong love of painting and the arts. In her younger years, she was a member of the Warwick Civic Chorale Club. She was crowned Miss New England during her high school years, a reflection of her grace, confidence, and vibrant spirit.
Patricia loved entertaining friends, lively conversation, cheering on the Boston Red Sox, and enjoying a good martini. She valued her friendships deeply and approached life with a practical optimism, often reminding those around her that “you have to take the bitter with the better."
She was a devoted mother to Sharon Sullivan, Chuck Sullivan, Maureen Sullivan, Timothy Sullivan, and Christopher Sullivan, and was preceded in death by her daughter Patty Lou Sullivan.
She was a loving grandmother to Alana Dillon and Ryan Dillon, and a cherished great-grandmother to Daygen Dillon, Jace Dillon, Dash Dillon, and Breeze Dillon.
Patricia will be remembered for her creativity, her warmth, and the many memories she shared with family and friends.
