Nicholas J. Scalera

Nicholas J. Scalera, 77, of Cranston, passed away June 24, 2026, at Lake Forest Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Elke (Theis) Scalera.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Nicholas A. and Estelle (LaPierre) Scalera and the brother of the late Vincent Scalera. Nicholas attended LaSalle Academy and the University of Rhode Island, class of 1971, where he was a member of TKE. He grew up in Federal Hill and lived there for many years before moving to Cranston.

He is survived by his daughter Melanie Scalera. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at St. Paul Church, 1 Warwick Ave., Cranston at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be held at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours respectfully omitted.
