NAZARIO E. MEJIA

Nazario E. Mejia, 73, of Sassafras St., passed away peacefully Friday  November 27, 2015 at the Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  He was the devoted husband of Ramona C. (Munoz) Mejia.  Born on September 12, 1942 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic he was the son of the late Nazario and Rosa (Ventura) Mejia. 

Mr. Mejia was a retired union laborer with local 271.  His true being was spending time with his loving family.   

Besides his loving wife he is survived by a son Cesar E. Mejia of North Kingstown; a daughter Clairbel E. Mejia of Providence;  two brothers Felix and Freddy Mejia;  three sisters Rhada and Fanny Mejia and Veronica Pena; four grandchildren Geraldine, Cesar, Lorenzo and Alonzo Mejia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 am in St. Michael Church 239 Oxford Street Providence, RI 02905.  Calling hours Wednesday from 4-8 PM in The Jones- Walton-Sheridan Funeral home 1895 Broad Street Cranston, RI 02905. Burial will be in North Burial Ground Providence, RI.
