Mary Vescera

Mary Margaret Vescera, 86, passed peacefully on May 2nd, 2024, at Briarcliffe Assisted living facility in Johnston, RI 

She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Angela (Cirillo) Vescera. Mary was so proud of her family, and she was loved by all.

Mary was born on May 12, 1937, in Providence, RI. She grew up in Bristol, RI where she enjoyed attending school and was known to be an excellent swimmer. She was also very kind and thoughtful. She will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her children: Frank (Kim); Alan (Patty); Diane; David (Lorraine); her sister Phyllis Rao Bonomo, 7 grandchildren: Frank Ward, David, Alan and Gina Bartis; and Neiko, Hudson and Hayden Ward; 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her loving daughter Dawn Ward, her sister Lucy Vescera and brother Ronnie Vescera.

Funeral Friday at 9:00 AM from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Church of Edgewood, 1 St. Paul Pl., Cranston at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be at Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery, Warwick, RI
