Marilyn E. Craven, 89 of Cranston, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022, just two days shy of her 90th., birthday.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Oma and Elizabeth (Moan) Varnder.
Ms. Craven had been a Teacher with Providence Head Start from 1971 until 2009 continuing with Children's Friend Head Start until her retirement in 2020. She had dedicated over 49 years to her "vocation" in the care and nurture of children.
She is survived by her two daughters; Marilyn Mulholland and her husband Paul of N. Kingstown, and Joyce Petrella and her husband Robert of Warwick, as well as 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Theodore and Timothy Craven, and sister of the late Omer, Harold, and John Vardner.
Funeral Service Saturday, March 12th., at 10:00 a.m. in the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St., at Park Ave., Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
