Manuel Rose Obituary

Manuel "Manny" Rose, 83, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2022, surrounded by his family.  He was the loving husband of Judith Rose for nearly 44 years. Born in East Providence, he was the son of the late Manuel Rose and Dorothy (Govey) Young and stepson of Francis J. Young. He was the brother of Frances (Young) Phillips (Edward) and the late Agnes (Rose) Schoolcraft and Henry Rose.

He is survived by his children and stepchildren, Lori Plouffe, Edward Rose (Virginie), Dena Kist, Nina Thornsburg (David), Erin Kaufman, and David Walsh (Sandra). He was the beloved grandfather to Joshua, Kassandra, Karissa, Bridget, Morgan, Taylor, Jordan, Lauren, Robert, Cleo, Cecile, Ashley, and Angelina, and great-grandchildren Jack, Harper, and Michael. He leaves many nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Manny was known for his kindness and youthful spirit, and never-ending sense of humor. He was often seen riding his motorcycle and sidecar throughout Warwick and usually with one of his beloved dogs in the sidecar. He was never without a stick of gum and a joke. He worked as a rigger for J.M. Anderson and was a Teamster for over 20 years. He also owned several small businesses with his wife throughout the years.
