MARY D. (Monahan) RYAN

   Ryan, Mary D. (Monahan), 84, passed away May 9, 2015. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. “Tim” Ryan, they had been married 60 years. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Edmund and Catherine (Craig) Monahan.

   Mother of Thomas A. Ryan Jr. of Cranston, Rosemarie Amato and her husband Barry of North Smithfield, Cynthia A. Kelly of Cranston and Patricia J. Mandeville and her husband James of Scituate, Grandmother of Lindsay and Tilley Ryan, Michael, Ryan, and Derek Kelly, Sean and Kaytee Amato and Ben and Brittany Mandeville. Great Grandmother of Brian, Brennan and Bryce. She was the sister of the late David Monahan, Edmund Monahan and Jeanne Lambert.

   Mary was a graduate of Rhode Island College, a civilain employee of the Dept. of Navy and the State of R.I. She was a lifelong advocate for her community, acting as President of Pace and Treasurer for the Coalation for Consumer Justice. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. from Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St., at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Church of Edgewood, One St. Paul Pl., Cranston. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, R.I.
