Linda J. Martino

Linda J. Martino (Almstrom), 81, of East Providence, RI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3rd at Hope Hospice Care of RI. 

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Angelina (Cohelo) Almstrom. She was the wife of the late Thomas Martino, Sr., mother of four children, Sharon (husband Ben), Darlene, Linda (husband Joe), and Thomas Jr., grandmother of 8, Syrena, Angelique, and Zack Fernandes. Coco and Nick Pacheco and Tori, Samantha, and TJ Martino, also great grandmother of 8. She was also a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to extended family members.

She was the sister of the late Everette Almstrom and Lorraine Kelly, and has a surviving brother, Kenneth Almstrom.

In her younger years, Linda worked for Paragon Tours, Herff Jones, T. Sardelli’s, and most recently East Providence school bus company. Besides spending time with family and taking long motorcycle rides, she loved being by the ocean, listening to country music, watching old country western movies, and dancing to the oldies.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning 9:00-11:00 AM

Burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, RI
