Leonard Shappy Jr.

 Leonard Shappy Jr., 84, of Edgewood, passed away January 23, 2025 at home. He was the husband of the late Cynthia (Sandbergen) Shappy. Born in Providence, a son of the late Leonard and Dorothy (Ashworth) Shappy. Leonard worked at General Electric and then on went to start his own business Shappy Electronics Center and T.V. Repair for many years. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U.S. Army. He was the father of Shearon Sevigny (Thomas), Susan Shappy, Carolyn Shappy and Christine Cowen, grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 9. He was brother of the late Lee Shappy. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4:00-7:00 PM at the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be held Private at the R.I. Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
