Kathleen M. Lanowy

Kathleen M. Lanowy, 75, of Cranston, passed away on January 29th after a long illness.  She was born on March 14th 1948 in Providence to the late Richard and Margaret (O’Brien) Costen. 

Kathy was a long-time employee of the State of Rhode Island retiring from the Division of Taxation in 2018.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and travelling with her best friend of over 50 years, Carol. She also doted on her dog Molly.

Kathy leaves behind her husband of 52 years Ronald. F. Lanowy; two sons, Michael R. Lanowy (Tammy) and Christopher J. Lanowy (Nina); two grandchildren, Natalia and Ronin Lanowy; her best friend Carol Ritarossi and her beloved dog Molly.  She also leaves behind several cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be held at the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home 1895 Broad Street at Park Ave in Cranston on Friday February 2nd from 4-7 pm.  Burial will be private.  Collation information will be posted at the time of visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
