John F.X. Cotter

   John F.X. Cotter, 67, of Edgewood, Rhode Island, passed away in the company of his two daughters on February 13, 2021. Born in Providence, a son of the late John H. and M. Dorothea (Brady) Cotter, John was a lifelong Rhode Islander and lover of the state.
  John attended St. Paul's School as a youth and graduated with an M.A. in American History from Providence College. Furthering his education he attended law school at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. John returned to R.I. and worked as an attorney for many years at R.I. Legal Services.
  John leaves two daughters Susannah and Samantha Cotter and a six-year old granddaughter Eleanor Cotter-Grayson. Funeral Services will be respectively Private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to R.I. Legal Services.
