John Conte Obituary

John R. Conte, 81, of Edgewood, passed away on June 11 in Boston. He was the husband of Teresa M. Bullett Conte

John was born in Providence to the late Eleanor (Fantasia) and John Conte Jr.

John is survived by his wife Teresa and daughters, Natasha and Marina.

John is predeceased by his brother, James A. Conte.

John taught physics, math, and computer science for over 30 years in Providence, mainly at Hope High School, his alma mater. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the Army. He was an avid cyclist, completing many centuries throughout the Northeast with the Narragansett Bay Wheelmen. The national parks of the United States and Canada were some of his favorite places to travel and photograph. But his passion for travel culminated in his trips to Russia and the adoption of his cherished daughters, Natasha and Marina.

John was a man of many talents. He was a loyal friend known for his quick wit and sense of humor. As a dedicated husband and father and a provider with a generous heart, he will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave Cranston

Visitation will be held 9:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be held at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 N. Main St., Providence, RI 02904
