Dennis S. Quinlan, a.k.a. Shazam, 38, of 58 Anchor Street, Providence, RI passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2015. He was born on the Ides of March, 1977 in Alexandria, VA. He attended School One and served in City Year. He was an accomplished electrician employed by Senesco Marine in Quonset Point, RI and formerly employed by Aldrich Electric, Miami, FL.
He is survived by his biological mother, Tina Breuer, his father Patrick J. Quinlan, his step-mothers Cristie Hanaway and Jane Quinlan, his sisters Darcie Lee Hanaway, Amanda Rae Hanaway-Corrente, Tara Beth Hanaway-Quinlan, Kyla Ann Hanaway-Quinlan, his steps-siblings Livia Regina Harkow and Lucas Fredrick Harkow, his daughter Madeline Tara Quinlan and her mother Lynne Kramer, his niece Amelia Eleanor Quinlan-Creed, his uncles Peter Quinlan, Matthew Quinlan, Dennis Kiernan, and Robert O’Hare, his aunts Julie Bouffard and Bernadette O’Hare, and his grandmother Sandy Hanaway.
Dennis was like no other. He was a spirited dancer to his own drumbeat. Creative, humorous and intelligent, he inspired others to laugh out loud often, and to see things in different lights. His life was, at times, full of struggle, internal and external. His strength and perseverance saw the light at the end of each tunnel. At the time of his death, he was on top of the world, happy, healthy, hard-working and loving life. We are all so proud of him.
A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held on the Ides of March, 2016. All are welcome to attend.
Those who may be inclined to make a contribution are encouraged to give to the Madeline T. Quinlan Educational Trust, 400 Smith Street, Providence, RI.
