Carlos A. Correia, 55, of California Ave., Providence passed away peacefully early Sunday morning May 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Maria V. (Evora) Correia. Born in Guine Bissau West Africa he was the son of Jofre and Christina (Soares) Correia.
Mr. Correia worked for American Power Conversion for 18 years and left after the merger with Schneider in 2009. He then went to work for Stop & Shop from 2010 to the present.
Besides his loving wife he is survived by two step-sons Goncalo Moreira of North Providence and Jason Moreira of Providence; a daughter Michelle Miller of Providence; Carlos was one of twelve children; and several nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 am in Our Lady of the Rosary 21 Traverse Street Providence, RI 02903. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday from 4-7 PM in the JONES-WALTON-SHERIDAN Funeral Home, 1895 Broad Street Cranston, RI 02905. Burial will be in North Burial Ground Providence, RI.
