Drumm, Anna L. (Nassa), 97, longtime resident of Edgewood, Cranston. Passed away October 2, 2025. She was the wife of the late Francis Drumm. Born in Providence a daughter of the late Antonio and Isabella (Riccitelli) Nassa.
She was the mother of John (JoAnn), Thomas (Patricia), William (Patricia), Paul (Marie), James (Carolyn) Drumm and Anne Rantuccio, grandmother of 14 and also great grandmother of 3 and one on the way! She was the mother of the late Michael Drumm, sister of the late Vincent, Anthony, and Ralph Nassa, Vincenza Esposito, Filomena Alba, Vera Montella, Marie Bernalewski, Florence Schultz.
Anna worked for Armen’s Hardware for 35 years and was among the first class of crossing guards for the City of Cranston. She retired after 35 years of dedicated service at the age of 73. A devoted wife, loving mother, proud nana, and cherished great-grandmother, Anna’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved preparing Sunday dinners and hosting holiday gatherings, creating countless memories surrounded by those she loved most. She was a proud member of the Holy Ghost Women’s Auxiliary and was deeply involved in her community throughout her life. One of the greatest blessings in Anna’s life was her lifelong friendship with her best friend, Gilda Colannino. Their remarkable bond, which spanned more than 85 years, was filled with laughter, shared traditions, and unwavering support. Together, they enjoyed time with family, cooking, visiting the casino, and playing cards at their weekly club meetings. Their enduring friendship was a true testament to love, loyalty, and the joy of lifelong sisterhood. Anna will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for family and friends. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on in all who were fortunate to know her.
Funeral Friday at 9:00 AM from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Paul’s Church, 1 Warwick Ave., Cranston at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be held at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston, RI
