Ann T. McCrink, 96, affectionately known as “Nana” to all who knew and loved her, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025. Born on July 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Anna Madeline and George H. Ryan.
Ann was a proud resident of Cranston and a parishioner of St. Paul's Church for over 68 years. Fiercely independent and full of spirit, she lived independently for more than three decades following the passing of her beloved husband, Paul J. McCrink Sr. Ann dedicated many years of service as an accountant to the City of Providence, where she was a respected and active leader, while also serving on the Laborers union. Her strong voice, and commitment to fairness left a lasting impact on her colleagues and community alike. To her family, Ann was a source of constant love, strength, and pride. She is deeply mourned by her children, Paul McCrink Jr. and Kathleen “Kate” Flaherty; her cherished grandchildren, Kristen Gebelein (Scott), Erin Flaherty (Dave), and Lauren Becker (Chad); and her adored great-grandchildren, Michael and Julianne “Jewels” Gebelein, Ethan Becker, and Max and Marissa “Rissy” Turmel. In addition to her husband, Ann was predeceased by her son-in-law, Michael Flaherty as well as her sister, Mary Sutton and brothers, George, John, James, Thomas, William and Charles Ryan. Nan’s home, her stories, and her ever-present warmth will be missed beyond measure. Her legacy is one of resilience, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved. She touched countless lives with her grace and generosity, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her boundless generosity, her faith, her hugs, and of course her amazing sense of humor.
