Alcindo Monteiro

Alcindo "Al" Monteiro, 52, of Providence, RI passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was a beloved father, father figure, uncle, friend, mentor, protector, and  brother. Born in Cape Verde, he is the son of the late Eurico Alves Monteiro and Belmira Goncalves Monteiro, 

Alcindo is survived by his loving mother, son, Harel J. P. Monteiro, his siblings Lucilio, Paulina, Malvina, Arrigo, Maria DeJesus, Gustavo, Maria Fernanda, and Ernistina Monteiro, as well as many nephews and nieces.

He attended Hope High School, where he was an All-State soccer player and attended New England Institute of Technology.  He worked at R & R Windows for over two decades.  

Al a.k.a. Al Bundy, as he was affectionately known, will always be remembered for his easy smile, sense of humor, open heart and great generosity. Please join us in celebrating his life. Remembrance services are as follow; 

Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 PM.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 am at St Michael Church, 239 Oxford Street in Providence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
