William David Doster, Jr., Bill or Billy as he was known to his many friends and family, 60, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2022 at his home in Cranston, surrounded by his family. William leaves behind his loving wife Maryann Doster, with whom he celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary earlier this year. William is survived by his four daughters and their husbands, Ashley and Dennis Bunker of Cranston, Haley and Derek Fields of Cranston, Hannah Doster of Cranston, and Lindsey and Michael Webb of Riverside. William also leaves behind his three step-sons, whom he considered his own, Stephen and his wife Kimberly Buonfiglio of Coventry, Vincent Buonfiglio of Cranston, and Nicholas Buonfiglio and his fiancé Samantha Caruso of Cranston.
Proudly born on the Fourth of July in Pawtucket, he was the son of Lucille (Lopes) Doster and the late William D. Doster, Sr. William was the brother of Raymond Doster, Stephanie Johnson, Rene Johnson, and Kristen Tavares.
William’s greatest joy in life was being a Papa to his three grandchildren Noah, Jacob and Violet, whom will miss him dearly.
Bill was a caring, hardworking and passionate man who loved his family, friends, his dogs Hank and Newman, and the New England Patriots. Bill will be remembered for his sharp sense of humor, his sweet dance moves, and that home run in high school that hit the house across the street. Bill knew how to fix anything, and if he couldn’t fix it, he would build a new one. Bill loved to refer to himself as the Captain of the ship and he will continue to be just that.
