Rolland D. Blom

Rolland D. Blom, 82, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, with his son Allen by his side.

Born in Eleva, Wisconsin he was the son of the late Orvin and Mildred (Ulness) Blom. He adored his mother, who had a heart of gold.

He had worked for ETCO, Inc., as a maintenance supervisor for over 50 years. Previously he had served in the United States Navy, and during this time he met Sally Ann Rose, they were married and had three sons; Kevin, Steven, and Allen Blom. His son Steven had preceded him in death.

In addition to his sons, he leaves behind his grandchildren; Matthew Blom, Jessica Blom, Kevin Stewart, and Steven Blom, Jr., and his extended granddaughters; Shannon Mcsoley, Heather Mcsoley, and Lindsay Mcsoley, as well as a daughter-in-law Meredith Blom. He also leaves behind loving nieces; Valorie Semingson, and Camille Skoug who mourn his loss from Wisconsin.

Rolland had spent the better part of his life with his friend and soulmate, Elizebeth Rutledge. His true love was his employment with Etco, Inc., where he had dedicated over 50 years of service to the Dunn family and the operations of the business which he treated as his own. Amongst his other life's pleasures and adventures was riding his motorcycle across the country and when he traveled back to his roots in Norway. In his later years, he enjoyed his daily walks by the ocean.  He will be greatly missed, Rest in Peace. At his and his family's request, services and burial will be private.
