Jacqueline Mary O'Hara, 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Mae (O'Reily) Carritte. She was the beloved wife of the late John Matthew O'Hara and mother of five children, four surviving; Laura, Kevin, Brian, Tracey, and the late Sean O'Hara. She also leaves three grandchildren; Megan, Matthew, and Morgan, as well as 5 great-grandchildren.
Jackie was a dedicated advocate for RI's mental health community. She had served several consecutive terms on the Governor's Council for Mental Health of RI, and was also a member of the Board of Directors of The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and was a multi-award recipient. In her spare time, and in her younger years she was a Master Duplicate Bridge Player. She will be sorrowfully missed.
Mrs. O'Hara's Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 am in St. Paul Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston. Interment will be in Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
