CHERYL ANN MEDEIROS

   On Thursday, November 29, 2018, Cheryl Ann Medeiros, loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep, at her home in Warwick Rhode Island. She was 69 years old.
Cheryl was born on December 4th, 1948, in Providence RI, to Walter Francis Cornell and Dorothy (Harnish) Cornell. She married Joseph Medeiros on April 4th, 1966, in Fall River, MA.          Together they raised four children, Rhonda, Joey, Malinda, and Nakia.
Cheryl spent her life helping, giving, and caring for others. She worked as a nurse’s assistant, but also opened her home and her heart to others without question, whenever there was a need for her motherly or grandmotherly care.
   Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother Walter, and her sisters Shirley, Beverly, Dorothy, and Louise. Her son Joey also passed away in June this year. Cheryl is forever remembered by her husband, Joseph; her children, Rhonda (Bob), Malinda (Mike), Nakia (Heather), and daughter-in-law, Norma; her grandchildren, Alfred, Nakia, Aliyah, Tiffany, Samantha, Karina, Joey, Nick, Alex, Aimee, and Jesse; and her great grandson, Andrew.
   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Jones - Walton - Sheridan Funeral Home at 1895 Broad Street at Park Avenue, in Cranston RI. For those interested, the Jones - Walton - Sheridan Funeral Home will accept donations to Joseph Medeiros to help with funeral expenses.
