Malley, James J., 81, of Warwick, passed away November 27, 2016 at home. He was the beloved husband of Patricia J. (Fogerty) Malley for 60 years.
Born in Providence, the son of the late Stephen C. and Elizabeth B. (Walsh) Malley. He graduated from Providence College in 1959. He was a Korean War Veteran serving with the United States Marine Corps. He has been retired for the past several years after being an entrepreneur his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children:Elle (Greg) Hickey, Dennis (Susan)Malley, Kerriann (Michael) Cardoza, Jeanne (Michael) Torti, Patrick(Kelly) Malley, Edward (Donna) Malley, Joseph (Christine) Malley, Mary (Doug) Anderson. He was the grandfather of 15. He is predeceased by his siblings Eileen Malley, Roberta Trainor, Patricia Delisle, Sister Mary Lea, R.S.M., Stephen Malley, and Marjorie Morrissey.
Funeral services will take place Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., Warwick RI at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will be held at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
Calling Hours will take place Thursday 5:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rhode Island Salt Water Anglers Foundation for “Take a Kid Fishing Day”, PO Box 1465, Coventry, RI 02816.
