EURICO ALVES MONTEIRO

Eurico Alves Monteiro, 83, of Stanwood Street, Providence passed away peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, April 1, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was the devoted husband of Belmira Goncalves Monteiro.  Born in Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Manuel Alves and Alina Freire Monteiro.
He was a beloved father and is survived by his wife and nine children, sons; Lucilio, Arrigo, Alcindo and Gustavo; daughters, Paulina, Malvina, Maria DeJesus, Maria Fernanda and Ernestina Monteiro; 12 grandchildren,1 great grandchild, his remaining siblings and nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held Saturday April 8, 2017 at 9 AM in the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad Street Cranston, RI 02905. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am in St Michael Church, 239 Oxford Street in Providence.  Calling hours Friday from 4-7 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Michael's Church in his honor.
