Edward D. “Don” Langon, 84, of Warwick, passed away March 26, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Dorothy C. (Pothin) Langon.
Born in Providence, a son of the late John P. and Mary E. (Ryan) Langon. Mr. Langon was a Plasterer and Cement Mason for Local # 40, he was a master of his craft. Upon retirement Don worked at the U.S. Postal Service for 12 years, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Warwick Council and served during the Korean War with the U.S. Navy.
He was the father of Edward D. Langon Jr., Alfred J. Langon, Mary E. Woulfe and Patricia A. Schneider, grandpa of 9 and great grandpa of 7. He was brother of the late Rita Travis.
Funeral Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., Warwick, at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be held at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI
Calling Hours Wednesday 4:00-8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Timothy Church.
