Dolores Hiatt [Hawkins] [Carello] 86 passed away on Sunday August 21,2016 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston and is now with the Lord and re-united with her late husband Robert E. Hiatt.She was born in Providence on July 23,1930, daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline Carello of Johnston.
 
She was the mother of William J. Hawkins and mother in law of his wife Tami Cyr Hawkins of Cranston.The mother of Doreen Duphily of Warwick,Kathy Ferro of Cranston and mother in law of Frank Ferro.Mother of Michele Hawkins of Cranston, Milinda Butterworth of Johnston and mother in law of her late husband William Butterworth .Mother of Wendy A. Hawkins and mother in law of her wife Louanne Lambert of Cranston.Mother of Tammy Allen and mother in law of her husband Mike Allen of Cranston.Mother of her son Robert Hiatt of Warwick.
 
Sister of Theresa Douglas and her husband Robert of Johnston and sister of Anthony Carello and his wife Alice of Pawtucket and the late John Carello of Johnston.
She had many nieces and nephews and especially enjoyed their visits over the years as they grew up.
She had 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
 
Dolores enjoyed being a homemaker for many years while raising her family,then working as a professional housekeeper until she retired in 1996.She loved playing cards, going to bingo, and watching her westerns on t.v, and most of all playing with her cat [Baby].She will be remembered most for her smile, generosity, and how she loved being with her family.
She was a spiritual woman of great faith and loved all animals and seemed to always have a special connection with them.She was proud of her italian heritage and was an excellent cook enjoying preparing meals for her family especially her rice pie during the holidays.
