BRONISLAWA "BERTHA" MROZ

MROZ (ZALENSKI), BRONISLAWA "BERTHA", 97, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015.  She was the wife of the late Chester Mroz.  Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Theophile and Mary (Szmyel) Zalenski.  Bertha was a longtime resident of South Providence, RI.

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, she had 5 sons; Frank his wife Ann, Walter his wife Sharon, William his wife Bernadette, she was mother in law of Margaret and Mona Mroz. She was the mother of the late Chester and Frederick Mroz; 7 grandchildren, Donna Hulstyn, Chester Mroz III, Robert Mroz, Dawn Fusco, Tammy Lanctot, Amy Pinheiro, Walter Mroz Jr., Stephen Mroz and the late Christine Mroz and BJ Mroz; and 12 great grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late Rose Gleba, Frank Zalenski, Stanley Zalenski, Jenny Gillespie and Gladys Siwik.

Bertha worked at Dolan & Bullock for over 25 years before retiring.  She was a very spiritual woman who enjoyed attending mass and was a long time member of the Daughters of Isabella.  

She was lovingly cared for by the staff at Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown for over 17 years, and will be fondly remembered by many.  

Visitation will be held WEDNESDAY morning, March 4, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 at Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad Street, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael Church, Oxford St., Providence, RI at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI
