BARBARA J. BROWN

Barbara J. Brown, 87, of Warwick passed away February 1, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was married 59 years to the late John E. Brown.  She was the daughter of the late Isabella (Maynard) and John Pappas.  She was the mother of Cathy Burroughs(William), Paul Brown and Thomas Brown (Melissa).  Grandmother of Erin Darmetko, Coleen Freedman, Matthew and Meredith Brown, and Michael and Shanea Volino.  She had three great grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late George, John and Stephen Pappas, Dorothea Anderson, Martha Poirier, and Eleanor Hyche.  She was employed with the RI Secretary Of State for 13 years. Retiring in 1990.

The Funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 am from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad Street. At Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston at 10 am,   Burial at St. Ann Cemetery Cranston.  Calling Hours Thursday, 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to RI Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence or Crossroads RI, 160 Broad Street Providence would be appreciated.
