HOWARD D. MCGUINNESS Jr.

   McGuinness Jr., Howard D., 89, of Warwick and Deerfield Beach, Fl., passed away September 2, 2017 at Scandinavian Home. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Sullivan) McGuinness.

   Born in Providence a son of the late Howard D. and Katherine (Toner) McGuinness Sr. Howard was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Providence College. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Army. Mr. McGuinness worked as a Controller for many years at Hindley MFG. and United Wire & Supply. He was the 1946 Providence Journal High School Student /Athlete of the year.

   He was the father of Marlene Fahey (Donal) and Lorraine Blanchard (Kurt), grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 2. He was brother of the late Edward, Raymond and William McGuinness.

   Funeral Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., Warwick RI at 10:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will be held at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI

   Calling Hours Friday 5:00-7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2374 Post Rd., Su. 206, Warwick, R.I.
