BURTON A. EMERY

EMERY, Burton A., 81, formerly of Cranston, passed away December 4, 2017, at the Philip Hulitar Center in Providence.

Born at his home in Cranston, he was a son of the late Alton C. and Elsie C. (Seamans) Emery.

Mr. Emery was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Army. He was a devout Christian and a selfless person who dedicated much of his life to volunteering for numerous organizations.

He leaves a brother; Alton C. Emery, and a sister; Barbara Lindsay.  He is also survived by many devoted nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Beverly Jones, Thelma Gartner, Norma Dorsey and Elsie C. Cooke.

Funeral Friday at 10:00 a.m., from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St., at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.

Calling Hours Thursday 6-8 pm.
